Description
Bust-length portrait.
1990-1611.
Born in Pennsylvania in 1803. Arrived in California in 1849 with his family, part of the Nathan Hawk party. Settled in Sacramento, building the Eagle Hotel, corner of 8th and J Sts. in 1850. After hotel burned in 1852, bought farm in West Sacramento. Died in 1871.
