Photo--black and white: The Sebastopol Police Department in 1959 with ambulance owned and operated by Sebastopol Police Department. Eight officers are around the ambulance. Identified officers are: Standing on right: Chief John Pilgrim who became Police Chief in 1959 and was Chief until about January 1974, and Sergeant Svend Clausen who was on the police force about 24 years. Kneeling L to R: Lemuel "Shorty" Plumley who was in charge of the parking enforcement and drove a 3-wheel motorcycle; Jim Burris, Chuck Orr and Dick Gore.
