V1p137b In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 137 center. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." "49" printed on photo. Text written under photo: "Sansome Street looking toward Market from California, 1888." View looks south on Sansome. Fireman's Fund Insurance on corner to right, with Bank of British North America next door. Another British bank is at left corner. Buildings are mostly three stories. Horsecar tracks used by both Central Railroad Co. and Omnibus Railroad Co. lead down Sansome.
