Title supplied by cataloger. A committee protesting Japan's distortion of history held a demonstration on Saturday, protesting against the Japanese government's recent revision of textbooks that change the history of its war of aggression against China, Korea, and other Asian countries. The demonstration was organized by 57 Asian groups headed by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. They chose September 18 for the action because they want to remind the world of the infamous "Mukden Incident" on September 19, 1931, when the Japanese troops attacked Mukden and overran Manchuria, leading eventually to World War II. Photograph dated September 18, 1982.
