Description
Photograph caption dated January 6, 1962 reads "Taft High School's Dave Phillips has his arms wrapped around basketball with team mate Tony Oddo (No. 34), left, and Cleveland's Gary McManus, center, dark jersey, also getting in the act to cause a held ball. Joe Nacey (No. 43) of Cleveland rushes in to help. This all happened in the hectic closing seconds of the West Valley League thriller last night at Cleveland. Taft won 55-53 in an upset and snapped Cleveland's 11-game win streak."
