Photograph of the back of a carved or engraved cross at Mission San Buenaventura, California, ca.1903. The cross is decorated with ornately-carved or engraved flowers of fine lines. The cross has carved ends with a small round bottom. The circular base holds the cross. The arms of a Christ figure hung on the front of the cross are also visible. A wall with several cracks is visible behind.
