Description
Photograph of balloon ascension, ca.1910. At center, a large darkly-colored air-balloon is visible in the sky. Several ropes and wires are suspended from the bottom of the balloon and connect to a small vessel. On the ground, a crowd of men look upwards at the object. In the background, two poles are seen with several wires extending to the ground. Also, a small amount of darkly-colored smoke is visible at ground-level and next to the large balloon.
