Description
Recording of a public lecture given by historian Kent Seavey at the Harrison Memorial Library, Carmel, CA, on the subject of artists on the Monterey Peninsula. A major part of the history and identity of the Monterey Peninsula is its artists. In this recording, a local art historian who has done extensive research into the creative scene in the Monterey area gives a public talk on many of the major artistic figures of the Monterey Peninsula. This particular lecture coalesces the stories of many artists into an overarching narrative of Monterey as a place that inspires and supports artistic expression, as told by a local expert.
