Description
Mortimer J. Adler discusses his book, “We Hold These Truths.” He begins by explaining that his book focuses mainly on three documents: The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. He talks about how the 13 colonies legally broke away from England. Adler discusses how Thomas Jefferson was inspired by the ideas in Virginia’s Bill of Rights. He ends the interview by talking about what he means to be a citizen of the United States.
