Description
This photograph reveals how thoroughly fire can destroy growth of buckthorn, grease wood, lilac, red shank, etc. more than 15 feet in height. It will take more than ten years for this denuded watershed to recover its elfin forest in Cold Creek Canyon, Santa Monica Mountains, north side of Saddle Peak.
