Description
2-Channel Stereophonic for In-Line (stacked) Heads - 71/2 ips. Issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Ampex Recorders. "It has been just ten years since the first Ampex magnetic tape recorder was introduced. To celebrate this anniversary, we at Ampex have been joined by recording companies and sound engineers at points throughout the world in a mutual effort to produce a most unusual stereophonic tape recording. We have accomplished several things by putting this tape together. First, we are able to present some of the finest examples of stereophonic recording known in the present state of the art. Also, by bringing together the work of recordists from different parts of the globe, we are able to show just what is happening literally throughout the world of sterophonic sound. Finally, we feel that a highly interesting and certainly diversified piece of entertainment has been accomplished."
