Aerial view of the Ford Motor Company, Mercury Plant site located at 8900 E. Washington Boulevard in Pico Rivera; view is looking west. The plant is located on the corner of Rosemead Boulevard (lower left corner) and Washington Boulevard (bottom right corner). Rex Rd. is slightly diagonally at middle; Paramount Blvd. is lower right to middle left; the Rio Hondo flows from middle right to upper left; AT & SF railroad tracks are horizontally at upper center. The 157-acre manufacturing facility was dedicated on May 6, 1948; the plant closed in 1980 and was purchased by Northrop Grumman in 1982. Photograph dated November 4, 1960.
