Description
Photograph. "Workmen have placed finishing touches on the new Marsden Apartments, 1745 Gramercy Place, and doors will be opened today. The property, of modernistic architecture, features corner windows, numerous balconies and terraces, a basement garage and an elaborate penthouse on the roof." -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated 10 November 1935. The building was designed by architect Frank Green, and was finished in 1935. At the time there were 68-single and 22-double apartments, and a 3-bedroom penthouse.
