Photograph article dated December 7, 1960 partially reads, "An actress whose appeal to the nation's movie-goers in 'Sayonara' won her an Academy Award, today made another appeal to the residents of the San Fernando Valley. She wants help. Miyoshi Umeki wants her toy French poodle returned to her. He was stolen the day after Thanksgiving. Miss Umeki's husband, TV executive Winfield Opie, told the Valley Times TODAY that the silver-haired dog, George, was stolen from the Opies' car at the Lakeside Market in Toluca Lake."
