Description
The first load of surplus foods is shown leaving the State Relief Administration commodity warehouse today for the John C. Fremont elementary school in Pasadena, where the food will be used to provide free lunches for underprivileged school children. At left is Fred M. Olmsted, state supervisor of the Bureau of Commodity Distribution; and at right, James B. Reese, administrative assistant. Photo dated: December 6, 1939.
