Description
Photograph of a view of the corner of Main Street and El Dorado Street in Stockton, ca.1900. A narrow dirt street is at center and heads away from the viewer into the distance. The street is lined with two-story buildings, cement sidewalks, and utility poles. There are several horse-drawn vehicles in the road, and a convertible automobile is parked by the curb at right. A streetcar is making its way down the street on tracks that curve to the left. A tall building is at right and it has a cylindrical tower with a pointed top on the corner. Legible signs include, from left to right: "Best Watches 4 Least Money", "IXL", "Cough Syrup", "Merrill's Candies Ice Cream", and "10403".
