Description
Mary Sheldon discusses her book, “Pandora Brown.” She begins by describing the plot, which follows the character Pandora who is teased by the other kids at school except for Gary who becomes her love interest. As the novel unfolds Gary and Pandora’s lives become interwoven. Sheldon goes on to discuss some of the other characters in the book and the catalyst for the book, which was reading her favorite book, Thomas Hardy’s “Far From the Madding Crowd” and her desire to turn it into a 21st century novel. Later in the interview she discusses her father, the writer Sydney Sheldon, and how he always encouraged her to pursue her passion for writing.
