Several cars can be seen crossing the intersection of Colorado Blvd., and possibly Glenoaks Blvd. in the city of Glendale. Among the businesses sharing the large, single-level, corner building are: a dry cleaner, a custom woodshop, and Colorado Pharmacy, offering "cosmetics", "prescriptions", "films", and "drugs" (prescription, of course). A very large billboard atop the building advertises "Fidelity Federal Savings and Loan Association of Glendale", which offers a 4.8% current rate per annum. Glendale was incorporated as a city in 1906, consisting of 1,486 acres. With population growing from 13,756 in 1920 to 62,736 in 1930, Glendale called itself "The Fastest Growing City in America". By the new millennium, Glendale's population was approximately 195,000.
