Description
Photograph of Black Canyon, showing Hoover Dam site in the foreground, looking upstream, ca.1933. A vague road winds through the gravel yard of the work site in the foreground with automobiles parked along its sides. Wires hang down into the site from other wires which extend from canyon wall to canyon wall over the top of the site. Just below the upper wires a small, wooden structure protrudes from the rock wall on the left while similar structures can be seen further down. The continue walls continue into the background as they contain the glass-like water that collects in the back of the site and winds of view to the left.
