Photograph caption dated June 23, 1960 reads "Gary Brooker, 17, of 11940 Cantara St., stands alongside a portion of chemistry equipment with which he perfected two new fertilizers or, as he prefers to call them 'plant stimulants.' He made stock market produce profits with which to buy equipment, says now he is 'glass poor,' meaning Brooker home is loaded with chemistry equipment." Brooker, from North Hollywood, is a student at the University of Southern California.
