The Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival is held annually at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, 2551 West Avenue H, in Lancaster, California.
Photograph caption dated August 25, 1954 reads "Miss Barbara Shumaker is crowned Queen of Antelope Valley's Fair and Alfalfa Festival for 1954 by Tony Travis, radio singer of western songs. Queen Barbara won from 12 other contestants. She is from Rosamund, Kern County, just north of Lancaster."
