From 1940-1967, what is now known as Bob Hope Airport was called the Lockheed Air Terminal.
Photograph caption dated April 1, 1960 reads, "Pretty Nisei Queen Faith Higurashi prepares to board flight from Lockheed Air Terminal for Hawaii where she will be official guest at 12-day cherry blossom festival beginning tomorrow. Giving an assist with luggage is a co-worker, Ron Bair, of Van Nuys."
