Photograph article date stamped December 16, 1961 partially reads, "Glendale Hoover edged Glendale 35 - 32 in the finals of the Burbank basketball tournament in a game marked by poor shooting by both clubs. Both teams started slowly, with Hoover leading at the quarter, 11-3. Neither of the teams seemed to be able to hit at all... Fast-breaking Burbank downed Notre Dame in overtime, 60-57, to win the consolation playoff. The Burbank Bulldogs dominated at halftime 29-22. The Knights were plagued with sloppy passing in the first half." Photograph caption reads, "Pete Cassidy - Notre Dame Coach."
