Description
Although Sierra Madre is a modern California city, its downtown area bears nostalgic traces of the tiny settlement founded in 1874 by Nathaniel C. Carter. This scene at the Plaza, looking north, is at the principal intersection of Sierra Madre Boulevard and Baldwin Avenue. Photograph dated February 24, 1961.
