View looking northeast shows balcony overlooking enclosed patio of the two-story, ten-room stucco house with tile roof and two-car garage. Visible are outdoor curtains along balcony, and surrounding dense landscaping. The coastline of Torrance and Redondo Beach is visible in background. According to the "Italian Los Angeles: The Italian Resource Guide to Greater Los Angeles" web site's historical survey of Los Angeles (compiled with texts written by Gloria Ricci Lothrop, Ph.D, available online at http://www.italianlosangeles.org), "The extensive use of ironwork, tiles and windows brought from Italy contributes to the authenticity of this Tuscan villa designed by Edgar Clive in 1927."
