Brutalist style San Diego Stadium, shown around the time it opened in 1967. Located at 9449 Friars Road in the Mission Valley area of San Diego, the stadium was renamed in 1980 in honor of local sportswriter Jack Murphy. Since 1997, when the Qualcomm Corporation bought the naming rights, it has been known as Qualcomm Stadium, or "The Q."
