Photograph of a northward view of Hill Street from the roof of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce Building, February 1932. Hill Street runs from the foreground at left to the background at right. It is a wide paved road with a set of streetcar tracks in the middle and large buildings on both sides. A gas station and a parking lot can be seen in the foreground at center. A row of mountains can be seen across the image in the background. Many early-model automobiles can be seen on the roads. Legible signs include, from left: "Strength Bros. Overalls", "Handy Auto Park", "Pacific Desk Company 1031 W. Hill Street WE 3494 Est. 1912 T. F.
