Jackson, Miss: James H. Meredith, the first Black to enroll at the University of Mississippi, works at a small desk in his home. He is a distributor for a national home-care products firm. Meredith also announced recently he would run against Sen. James O. Eastland, D-Miss. in the 1972 congressional elections.
