Photograph of Sphinx Realty Co., showing building in shape of the head of a sphinx, [s.d.]. In the background at center, a large building in the shape of a sphinx's head can be seen. The shoulders of the sphinx rest on the ground. A large door can be seen crafted into the statue's neck with the word "Open" at its center. Above the door, crude eyes, a nose, a thin mouth, and ears can all be seen. To the left and right of the building, signs can be seen reading: "Sphinx Realty Co." The sign on the right reads: "A-For-Rent Bargain Very large single furnished apartment $37.50 For rent single house". The sign on the left reads: "Very fine corner duplex Long Beach For single house here". Small signs in the shape of camels can also be seen saying: "Let us sell it!". To the far left, a small imitation pyramid is also visible. In the extreme background at right, a large utility pole and houses can be seen.
