Photograph caption dated July 13, 1960 reads, "Adlai E. Stevenson, two-time Democratic presidential nominee, is greeted by tumultuous demonstration when he arrived at Sports Arena during second session of Democratic Convention. Stevenson, delegate from Illinois, was forced by crowd to rostrum where he said he knew who Democrats’ next candidate would be - ‘last survivor.’”
