Description
Photograph article dated May 30, 1949 reads, "Harold Peary, who portrays radio's 'The Great Gildersleeve,' has been honored by the city of San Fernando which has made him an honorary water commissioner. James Doyle, San Fernando's honorary mayor, is making the award. Peary will ride in the mammoth parade Saturday which is a feature of San Fernando's fiesta week celebration. Peary is shown at right."
