Description
Photos of the June 1930 Santa Monica Pioneer Days celebration and parade, to commemorate pioneers who came to California by covered wagon in 1830. Photos shows the parade along Ocean Avenue, with the palms of the Promenade behind. Photo 5: shows a horse- drawn fire engine. Photo 6: shows a wagon pulled by steers. Three men are dressed in western outfits and riding horses. A man on the right has a bear cub on a leash. Photo 7: four men are dressed as arabs, all are riding horses. A horse drawn covered wagon is behind the riders. Photo 8: two men on horses, one is dressed in a spanish outfit, the other is dressed as an Indian chief.
