Photograph caption dated January 17, 1964 reads, "Thirteen-year-old Nails Walker, a member of the world champion Granada Hills Little League baseball team, receives the Granada Hills Optimist Club's Man-of-the-Year award for the team from club president John Yerkes. Watching the presentation is Los Angeles Dodger outfielder Wally Moon, second from left. The team was awarded the honor after they won the Little League World Series last August by defeating Stratford, Conn., 2-1, in the championship game."
