Photograph was edited for publication purposes The Village Christian School was founded in 1949 and originally housed in the buildings of the Village Church in Burbank, located at 3216 W. Victory Boulevard. In 1957, the church purchased property in Sun Valley where the school is now located at 8930 Village Avenue in Sun Valley. Photograph caption dated September 28, 1957 reads, "Susan Simmons and David Gerber, students at Village Christian School, 3216 W. Victory Blvd., Burbank, polish new jeep that was donated by students for a mission in Guatemala City. Henry Trist, school superintendent, talks over route of trip with the Rev. Phil H. Gibson, behind wheel, who will drive jeep to its destination."
