Description
"The Fair Oaks Band, started by Will Gregory and Dr. Buffum in 1914, played for picnics, American River Grange, Orangevale Grange, Folsom Fourth of July, and other local events. Unfortunately, by 1917, World War I put an end to the band. The band, seen around 1915 in white uniforms, featured, from left to right, the following: (first row) William Gregory Sr. and Frank Odem; (second row) Ira Dickson, Elmer Green, Fred Bishop, Bill Gregory, Howard Buffum, Gus Schoen, and Wylie Dickson; (third row) Bob Fisk, Bill Raymond, Frank Bishop, Pete Holst, Art Broadley, Walt Hinsey, and Ted Crosby."
