Description
Two women in Parisian fashion. The woman on the left is shown in a pink bonnet with white lace over the top. Her dress is chocolate brown with white lace cuffs and collar and dark brown details down the front of the bodice and skirt. A red shawl with red, white, and blue patterns at the hem is draped over her arm, and she wears cream colored gloves. The woman on the right has a deep purple bonnet adorned with a horsehair or feather plume cascading down the side. A green cap or lace peeks from under the bonnet, and green ribbon ties under her chin. Her dress is made of blue and teal striped fabric with floral details down the front of the bodice and down either side of the skirt. She wears one pale yellow glove and uses the other to play with the small white and brown dog at her feet. The women are walking on the grounds of a large estate, with a building with a round tower, and a turret shown in the background. They stand on grass on the banks of a pond, surrounded by leafless trees. The colorless figure of a man in a top hat is shown between the trees. The sky is cloudy and overcast.
