Description
Pacific Electric Railway streetcar no. 5154 going over trestle on the Van Nuys line, in North Hollywood before the turnoff to Van Nuys, in the San Fernando Valley. The sign on the front of the car says "Los Angeles." The Rio Vista station can be seen in the background, at left.
"12-22-52 Pacific Electric 5154 Rio Vista"--text, handwritten in pencil on housing. Title and date devised by cataloger based on notes on housing. Location determined by cataloger based on information about this station at www.pacificelectric.org. The Pacific Electric Railway system of electric streetcars and rail was also known as the Red Car system.
