Description
"Back view of the steel girderwork shows the extent and kind of construction involved in the $7 million addition to Pacific Telephone Co.'s downtown Sacramento structure, going up at 15th and J Streets. The lighter-weight girderwork of the addition at photo's center is more typical of office building construction. The heavier beams of structure at left will enable the building to bear the weight of eight additional floors in the future and tons of telephone equipment planned for emplacement in this eight-story phase. The view looks southwest from 15th and I Streets"
