A guerrilla man from the Farabundo Martí Liberation People's Forces (FPL) on guard in the town of La Palma, El Salvador. The fighter holds an assault rifle in his hands. Guerrillas occupied La Palma, a town of 12,000 people, for twenty-four hours and then retreated to the hills in the middle of the night.
