A boldly striped blanket covers his shoulders and arms crossed in front of him. He wears a scarf about his head. A wall is visible behind him. The Walapai (or Wallapai) are related to the Apache but refused to follow them in their raids. They rendered valuable assistance to U.S. Troops in the wars with the Apache.
