Two scenes depict parts of the Battle of Shanghai in 1937; also known as the Battle of Songhu or the "August 13 Incident". Top: Chinese soldiers and equipment attack the enemy in front of Tiangwan City Hall. Bottom: Chinese troops cross Linzao Creek, a critically tactical location on the outskirts of Shanghai.
