Description
"In 1916, Harold Dewey proudly inspected and lauded his large watermelon crop (a marginal crop in Fair Oaks) in front of the family's 1909 EMF 30. Through Fair Oaks mainly produced citrus, particularly oranges and lemons, many farmers grew such produce as olives, watermelons, cherries, and grapes."
