Description
Photograph of oil industry construction, showing two men look over a large crevasse, ca.1930. Two men in suits and hats stand on the right looking straight below to the deep crevasse on the left. A man can be seen working at the bottom of the crevasse with a wheelbarrow in front of him and a thick pipe lying behind him. A rope manipulated by a pulley extends into the crevasse in the foreground from a crane which stands on the ground above. The crane stands behind sections of pipe which lie to the right of the men while a large machine stands behind the crane with what appears to be a ladder extending from its side down to the top of the pipe in the crevasse below. Large piles of dirt stand in the background on the right as well as at the ground's edge above the crevasse on the left.
