Description
Photograph (streetscape, horizontal photography) of the exterior view of the Southern Pacific Depot, ca.1918. The building is about three-stories tall. It features a covered sidewalk where people wait for the streetcars or other types of vehicles. Column buttresses support the large arched windows as seen from the façade. The name "Southern Pacific" is embossed above the cornice near the roof. Utility lines zigzag across the street and curves to follow the path of the streetcar routes. A streetcar is approaching the depot (at right).
