Description
This 1961 postcard shows the south side of K Street, between Eleventh and Tenth streets. A Woolworth's -- built in 1957 -- occupies the corner where the Hotel Sacramento stood for decades next to its companion, the Hotel Land -- built in 1910 -- which stands, pictured at the southwest corner of Tenth and K Streets. In less than a decade after this picture was taken, K Street will be a pedestrian mall.
