Description
Image of a half-length portrait of actor and Salsbury's Troubadours member Nellie McHenry, wearing a large feathered blue hat and a dress decorated with a bird and butterfly, looking out of a wooden window adorned with morning glory flowers; with date sheet for a March 16, [1886], show at the Fulton Opera House in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, pasted at the bottom of the poster.
Probable date calculated by cataloger based on day and month on date sheet; a Lancaster, Pennsylvania, newspaper advertised McHenry and the Salsbury's Troubadours in the comedy "Tom, Dick & Harry" by Edward E. Kidder at the Fulton Opera House on March 16, 1886 (Lancaster Daily Intelligencer,15 March 1886, page 4). "W. J. Morgan & Co. / Lith. Cleveland, O."--text, bottom right of image. "Fulton Opera House / Lancaster / Tuesday Mar. 16"--text, fragment of date sheet pasted to bottom of poster.
