Exterior view of the family swimming pool in the garden where indigenous children play in the water. The Irvine family bungalow had large gardens and a swimming pool. They regularly held an ‘At home’ where senior pupils from the junior secondary school came to play games at the house. ❧ The image is from the collection of Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974) showing the period from 1928-1961 at the Chogoria mission which was established in 1922.
