Description
This work shows how to make and how to fake wines and spirits. For example, "Port Wine" is made from 13 gallons of spirits (40 proof), 55 gallons of water, 1 gallon of wine vinegar, 30 pounds of sugar, some cinnamon, cloves, cayenne and some tannin disolved in alcohol. The whole thing is colored with "mallow flowers" andscented with an "infusion of torrefied prunes...a very good Port aroma."
