Photograph of a panoramic view of downtown Los Angeles, looking east with the 8th Street and Olive Street intersection in view, ca.1910-1913. The cityscape is thriving with commercial buildings and developed roadways. A majority of the buildings are block-shaped and have at least 5 floors except for some of the buildings in the foreground which are shorter and whose roofs are visible. Notable buildings include the Bullock's department store building (center), The Woodward (center, before Bullocks), and the Hamburger building (right). Automobiles (or trucks) and several horse-drawn wagon are visible.
