Provenance
Written in the Netherlands in the middle of the sixteenth century, possibly for Sister Clara van Vorssel who professed her vows in the Franciscan order in 1555. Belonged to Henry William Poor (1844-1915); his sale, Anderson, New York, 12 January 1909, pt. III, n. 250. Apparently acquired by Henry E. Huntington at that time.
